I made the comparison half-way serious as I view both bands at about the same level:
Mudhoney = One of the first Grunge bands. Good, not great.
Oasis = One of the first Britpop bands. Good, not great.

I suppose they did in terms of popularity but in terms of musical ability, lyrical abilities they have next to none compared to the grunge bands. Also Noel Gallagher is the most overrated 'guitarist' of all time. Just a happy-go lucky strummer.
Also that doesnt sound like 'Grunge' music to me, not a bad song though.
