Well Im not a big fan of 60's rock music anyway (not that I dont like any of it, just isnt my favourite period) so perhaps I just have a jaded perception of what Rock is.
But to me I would class the Beatles as as 'pop' although I know this doesnt fit exactly all of their music, but on a whole (with all the hit singles in mind).
Also you cant doubt their influence on the music scene but for me I feel they are highly overrated (lets not go into too much detail huh?
)
and personally I can live without them.
