Yes, this trio of virtuosos gave prog. rock a bad name six years down the line, but that doesn't change the fact this is one fu ckin' hell of a debut. More cohesive and less bombastic than you'd expect, I can see how this album, along with In the Court of the Crimson Kingand Fragile, turned progressive rock into a worldwide phenomenon for the first half the decade, and recommended to people who want a good starting place to get into them.

i have 'Knife-Edge' on a box-set of the Island label in the sixties, that was always a highlight before i knew what 'prog' even was. Sounded a bit like early Crimson. this is worth watching just for Keith Emerson's crappy solo on his huge unwieldy oscillator the size of a small room
