Except the Slowhand album is really good. I do agree that just about the rest of his solo stuff is hella boring. But whatever, he's still a great guitarist for Cream alone.
For me, preference wise.
Page > Hendrix > Beck > Clapton > Vaughn >>>>>>>>>> Gibbons.
Not a big ZZ Top fan.
