Default Multitasking: music AND...

At long last I got epsxe and a bunch of rpg isos. This has been the most gratifying possible experience for me: turning off the emulated sound and playing Chrono Cross with Dungen playing on my good speaker setup which I couldn't do before since it would involve taking the speakers upstairs to the TV room.

OR: also I do this thing where I play PS1 rpgs and have anime playing on the other monitor, that's also great because one on its own isn't enough entertainment but two of them at the same time is a candy-colored tranquilizer. My ambition is to have the music playing, the anime on, and the game going all at the same time, with the game and anime muted. I have all these really sonically interesting albums but it's hard just to listen to music when you're so used to DOING THINGS. A guy I know characterized my taste in music as "for busy pussies with dirty houses" and he was more accurate than I would like to admit.

I'm kind of afraid to put epsxe on my new netbook because it would represent a step backwards from this delicious new high. I'm also ashamed of missing out on a lot of really good video game music, but man, Dungen is some full-channel saturation.

MB: what do you do alongside listening to music?
