Pleasantly surprised, I assumed this was just going to be a typical horrible `80`s horror movie and while it does have some of the characteristics that make the bad `80`s horror movies, it also does things right. There`s character development, pretty well written dialogue, and a female lead who isn`t totally helpless. Props goes to Daniel Stern (Better known as Marv from Home Alone 1 & 2) for his delivery of his character, a well meaning young hippie that looks after the homeless. That was another thing the movie did right, it had social commentary on our views of contempt for the homeless and the lower class. Don`t get me wrong, it`s still a B-grade movie, but it does enough things right to negate the cheesy costumes and typically cliched villain.
