Album 955

Samla Mammas Manna - Måltid
Year: 1973

Get ready for some of the weirdest music you'll ever listen to. This mixes Zappa-Esque compositions with random freak outs and even a few magma style vocal shrieks. This wonderful avant-garde swedish band really has created one of the most interest albums of the 70's. That's not to say there's nothing normal and conventionally good about this. The whole album is compositionally strong and have a lot of great individual parts, including some of the finest guitar work I've ever heard. This is one to listen to when you're tired of all the regular avant-garde stuff that's out there, and that's saying something.

3 Choice Tracks: Dundrets Fröjder, Syster System, Minareten II
