Album 952

Wishbone Ash - Argus
Year: 1972

I'm amazed and appalled that this album wasn't included in the original 1001 list. But then again I'm sure it's far less important or groundbreaking than 50 cent. This is one of my all time favourite albums, everything about it is just so perfect. The dueling guitars, the massively tight rhythm section, everythign just works so well. On first listen this should just amaze you from the get go. The guitar work of Ted Turner and Andy Powell really shines on this album, not to mention the catchy vocal harmonies and complex arrangements. This is one to listen to if you're in the mood for some epic guitars.

3 Choice Tracks: Time Was, The King Will Come, Throw Down the Sword
