People will probably want to kill me when i say this so let me disclaim it. This band was once uber hip to like, and probably a little over rated. But just judging from my generation, now their just totally uncool to like. In my opinion their not that mainstream and not that uncool.

I don't know how responsible they are for starting the rap/rock movement, but some of the stuff on their albums is really progressive and cool. Like these cool electronic sections. Not to mention they have KILLER AMAZING production. Actually I think they have the fattest sounding most killer bone crushing guitar tone I've ever heard. WAY more bone crushing than anything I've ever heard from earlier bands that used Mesa/boogie rectifiers.

Maybe they shouldn't go 10x platinum. But imo they don't deserve the "totally lame and uncool" status.
