Maybe it's just me but I personally can't stand it when hit album songs sound like **** in concert because of an extra three guitars on the album or an orchestra. In my opinion, the songs that are chart toppers should be the band alone with as little interference from recording dubs as possible. This will ensure that the live show is as entertaining as the album itself.

I completely understand using beat machines or psychedelic over-dubs in recording songs that will not be used in concert for artistic expression and exploration but keep the extra add-ons away from major songs. People want to see a band play live, they do not want to hear the album while the band holds instruments.
