01. Ween - 41 plays

What can I say? I love Ween, I usually spin "The Mollusk" weekly or bi-weekly, I smoked up a little bit this week so that album sounds nice while high, it also brings back memories to my first year living on my own.

02. Bohren & Der Club of Gore - 40 plays

I finally got something new by them and I've made sure it's been played. I love these guys for writing or doing homework. It plays in the background and really helps set a mood, yet doesn't distract you.

03. Hypocrisy - 28 plays

One of my favorite Swedish death metal bands, Peter TÃĪgtgren has a really unique voice that makes him distinguishable from other death metal vocalists. Also their subject matter covers subjects that strike an interest with me like the paranormal and the extraterrestrial.

04. Ani DiFranco - 26 plays

I like to spin Ani while I do my artwork, for some reason her voice and guitar playing really work well with my abstract drawings. I have most of her discography and occasionally I feel guilty for not listening to it enough and throw it on for the hell of it.

05. .357 String Band - 26 plays

One of my favorite bluegrass groups, these guys really do a good job and blending the image and lyrics of punk, with the fast paced and complex sounds of bluegrass. Would highly recommend them to anyone in need of something new and original.

06. Sweatshop Union - 26 plays

Hometown hip hop group that I'm a little embarrassed I didn't know of them sooner. Some really good beats and lyrics, mixed with the pride of being from the same city.

07. Iron Maiden - 26 plays

I've always got time to listen to Iron Maiden, this was the next big band I got into after my Metallica phase when I was 13.

08. Strapping Young Lad - 23 plays

I went back and listened to their first album "Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing" a few times to remember what it was like. I recall listening to it once when I was 18 but I was also extremely baked at the time and nothing really stuck, however I remember being a little turned off. Funnily enough this is actually one of my favorite of theirs now that I listened to it sober.

09. Mos Def - 23 plays

I got his new album a few days ago and listened to it once and then a few of his other tracks that came on at random. I've always liked Mos Def, but never been a rabid fan. He's never really been the type of MC that I would throw out in the middle of a conversation to prove a point I'm making, but I enjoy his music and his new album is pretty dope.

10. VoiVod - 21 plays

Just doing my Patriotic duty as a Canadian citizen, nuff said.

11. The Smalls - 21 plays

Another one of my Canadian unknowns. Really like listening to these guys when I'm in need of something heavy, but not extreme. They really straddle the line of heavy metal and hard rock to the point where they could go one way or the other. Their bass player Corb Lund is also a machine on their albums.

12. Death - 20 plays

Never been the rabid Death fan like some other people (not people on this forum, but other people I know) but that's not through contempt, but laziness. I downloaded their discography a few months ago, but never really got around to giving any of the albums a proper listen, which is a shame because all the stuff that I've heard so far has been really good.

13. Aesop Rock - 20 plays

I've got just about everything this guy has ever put out, so with that amount of music it's pretty easy to get an Aesop Rock song going once every two hours if I leave my winamp player on random. I'm pretty sure I listened to "Labor Days" at least once this week because I try and make a habit of doing that because it was one of my first hip hop albums that I really got into.

14. Tom Waits - 19 plays

He's kind of in the same boat with Aesop Rock as in I've got most of his discography so his stuff is bound to come up if I leave my winamp on random. Regardless he is pretty ****ing amazing and always fun to sing along to if I'm drunk... or sober even.

15. The Flaming Lips - 19 plays

I've got a soft spot for The Flaming Lips, and like Aesop Rock and Tom Waits, I've got their entire discography and I have mostly been listening to winamp on random because I didn't download much in the way of music this week. Either way I love it when a Flaming Lips song comes on because they're always fun to sing along to.
