Calling up Oedipus.
A three month sabbatical
Of drink and debauchery.
The judgement was obvious.
In rapture with heaven and hell tonight,
Streaming past in the spotlights.
I cry out, but I fall endlessly,
Around bodies of our beloved friends and family.
Oh Bastard Bertolt
Where will it end?
Why do we all find it necessary,
To pretend.
My eyes are borrowed,
My will is sour.
Finding it all quite confusing,
We conspire
Oh now you've done it again,
Caught up like poor claudius.
Spontaneous pain my friend,
Turn a crowd out like Julius.
Enamoured with seashells and sand, so bright
Swooning, rushing, a feeling: Light headed.
A snake with three heads, half-mast.
A classical backslide into the past.
Reign of all my friends begins
When you build a wall from north to south
Drive a nail around the bend
Wafer placed into my mouth
Feeling it all in my heart
Falling, a vision of perfect art.
Electric shapes in shattered earth,
we clutch our breasts & die, in wretched mirth.
