I know that feeling, recently I've started hanging around people I use to go to school with and it seems like all they want to do is revel in nostalgia and gossip about the alumni. A few friends of mine and I did a road trip to a ghost town in Nevada a few weeks ago and the only thing that saved me was one of the guys older brother who didn't really know or care about the gossip in the back.
