I have to confess I was expecting to like it more than I did, but I wonder if it's a similar situation to Blair Witch Project, maybe if I had seen it in 1992 I would've loved it. The scene with the pregnant woman definitely tipped the film into exploitation territories for me and I think it took the film in an unwanted direction for me.
I was definitely expecting some intensity considering who was involved but I was pleasantly surprised by the introspection of the film. It was a little emotionally manipulative but still a damn good film and proof that rourke is still a brilliant actor.
