I'm loving post-rock right now. Spiderland by Slint is one of my favourite albums. As for some other bands: Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, The Sea and Cake, Gastr del Sol, Faraquet and Do Make Say Think.

I think another good thing to get into if you like post-rock is math rock. It's similar, but a bit more rock-y (?). Some good groups for that would be Don Caballero, Shellac, Hella, Drive Like Jehu and Rodan.

On another note, I seem to be the only person here who thinks Talk Talk's Laughing Stock is overrated (Spirit of Eden is great though) and doesn't like Tortoise...
