Basically a lot of terms with 'post' in the beginning don't refer to what it may seem. Like postmodernism, post-rock is about deconstructing the genre which came before it. So... post-rock is about using rock instrumentation for non-rock purposes and to 'deconstruct' rock as a genre. I'm rambling, I don't know where I was going with this but yeah.
