Lastly, you say you are only familiar with Piper, Darkside and Animals by the Floyd. Not sure if that precisely means you are truly unfamiliar with much of the Floyd's other material. If so, that actually kinda makes me jealous of you for having the getting familiar with the rest ahead of you. If you like what you have then I'd say go next for Relics, Meddle and The Wall. (You're really not familiar with the whole of The Wall?) Then, don't stop.

Great to hear you enjoyed the Scott Walker tracks. I've seen the Drift described as 'the sound of nightmares' - listening to that album a few times in the dead of night backs that up a bit.
With regards to Neil Young, he was quite a glaring miss with this list, I'll admit. I've only got After the Goldrush and I expect I'll start regretting leaving him out a bit more after I get a few more of his albums. As for the others, John Lennon's Imagine was in earlier drafts of the list. So was the Holy Bible as well. There are tons of albums I simply didn't have room for. One of these days I might do some write-ups about a few more albums that didn't make this list for such reasons. Depends if I can be bothered though.
And I'm familiar with the title track of the Wall, but that's about it. Floyd have a discography I'm hoping to get round to exploring more fully soon enough for sure.
