To me his music has never really been trance.. maybe trance with an extremely heavy handed dose of house influence. Well, back in the day like 2001-2003 when trance was REALLY commercial then yes.. but not anymore though. To stay commercial he has been going more into house. Armin (although he is also very commercial) still plays and produces true trance despite it's drop in popularity. Not to say he doesn't play anything BUT trance. His radio show also usually encompasses electro, progressive house, and maybe some minimal or tech house.
