You're words on why you love this is exactly the reason I love this era of the Stones so much. I love those early singles from the first 3 or 4 years of their career. They just sound so primitive & raw, and that R&B background bleeds through every song. In some ways I love these songs probably more than their more acclaimed albums of the late 60s/early 70s. They're great albums don't get me wrong but they never really recaptured the energy they had when they made the songs from this era.

If the Stones had split up in 1966 I think they would have been remembered as one of the greatest 60s garage bands.
