I love that feeling when you get to a certain song and for love nor money you just can't get past it and have to keep listening to it again and again and again until someone interrupts you, you start feeling hungry or whatever. There are very few songs that have that kind of affect on me, but it's one of the biggest pleasures music can deliver when one does.

I have managed to pick up a copy of Ibrahim Ferrer's album there. I given it a few listens but haven't managed to properly get into to the point that I know it inside-out. That's not to say I didn't like it - I loved it, particularly how it combines sones with boleros - upbeat, rhythm-centric pieces with ballads over an album. Top stuff, in other words. I'd need a few more listens before I can set about picking favourite tracks though. Mami Me Gusto there, a classic example of a Cuban 'son', was one of many highlights for me.
