I went and saw District 9 today.

I thought it was really, really good. Raised a lot of social issues; was alarming and disturbing but at the same time eerily heartbreaking. I also liked that South Africa was the chosen location for the film rather than somewhere in the US - was something different and also something that for some reason felt a little closer to home.
