So you mean most people then ...
I have an iPod. Not
because of peer pressure (though that helped) but before I got one lots of people were like "oh you don't have an iPod then?" or "oh it's trying to look like an iPod" or something vaguely along those lines. Of the people that don't have iPods and stick to things like the Creative Zen or, nowadays, the Zune many will often have a dislike of iPods that far out stripes the time they took to consider how the different machines match up. Human nature is far more susceptible to advertising power (or an obstinate rejection there of) than logic and reason.
