The Ramones New Wave!!! I always thought they were considered the first real punk band!!! The 3 minute song, the leather jackets, singing about sniffing glue and beating up people with baseball bats etc. Admittedly all in a cartoony and humourous way as opposed to the anarchy driven aggression of their UK counterparts.
