I'm really liking this one, I've played it 3 times so far. I don't remember how I discovered it but searched here and Jackhammer had posted about it in the past. Anyway it's instrumental rock, most would call it math rock. It's got some post rock tendencies as well, but mostly it's energetic math rock. Think Russian Circles, but faster and more upbeat. Think Battles, without the stupid vocals. Think Rumah Sakit, and add more melody. These guys are incredibly tight and don't let their skills turn into wanking. It's a very well paced and melodic album played by very skilled Japanese musicians. This is their second album and I've picked up their debut which I might play today.
what fun! is this indicative of the 'math rock' genre? i've never listened to anything like this before...
