I feel like the line between a good band name and a bad band name can be extremely thin. I can see myself thinking The The was a really original and amusing band name. But on the other hand, it's kind of irritating. Same goes for Red.
As for the Killers. I like it because it's purposefully generic, and making sort of a mockery of generic band names.....but.....it's... still generic.

Then again I'm not really a huge fan of any of those bands. Which makes their names a lot more unappealing.

And...I'm probably going to get in trouble for saying this...but I've never loved the name Iron Maiden.
