Some people are atheists because some people find none of the alternatives convincing. Not because there is necessarily one right way. In the case that reality is really determined by what you believe (which is an odd thought) I'd still choose to be an atheist because the very idea of a watcher is depressing and if said being doesn't watch what I do than why do I care?
