If the Carpenter/Russell commentary is anywhere near as good as the B/T in Little China one then that will be worth the asking price alone...
any remake, and there will be one, is going to totally miss the point of the original - it's low tech charm ('retro' is difficult to say out loud) and hamminess, having said that it is still the apex of cool and they don't make em like that anymore. Any fans of the original Metal Gear Solid, watch
Escape From New York because it nicked most of its ideas from this movie.

edit 2: in fact screw this CGI balls, i would take the model FX in this movie anyday, it didnt kill any of the illusion, infact it made it more fantastical and appealing
