He knows exactly how I react to personal insults.
So when he pops up on a thread devoted entirely to me ranting about my personal opinions, and then telling me I'm an idiot because of how I choose to speak my mind, he knows goddamn well what to expect from me, and no, I wont take sh*t like that lightly, you know full well that I never do, and you threatening to ban me isn't going to change that.
If he pulled this kinda thing on one of your threads you'd ban him on the spot.
