I voted US because I live here, but it was really close between here and UK. Both have a ridiculous amount of good music coming out now, and have had fantastic bands over the years. I chose based on the fact that The Pixies, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Jimi Hendrix, the Grateful Dead, and Neutral Milk Hotel all came from the US, so that's quite a few of my favorites. Plus MF DOOM, but he is sort of in the middle (lives in US, but he was born in UK). In reality though, I think that since the internet allowed people from all of the world to spread their music throughout with complete anonymity if they chose to do so, the country of origin isn't is much a factor these days. Luckily I can listen to music from all over the world with the click of a button
