^ Slayer have always been awesome; the problem is getting others to realize it!

Anyway, a couple new additions to my colleczion-

Lobster Newberg - Actress (2009)

A curious yet attractive slice of modern prog. rock, blending the propulsive Indie of The White Stripes with the quirkiness of Gentle Giant to varying degrees of effectiveness. The generally short song lengths and cheery production values are nice touches too, so I recommend this one highly to prospective listeners.

Do Make Say Think - Winter Hymn County Hymn Secret Hymn (2003)

This is a party where dub, folk, post-rock and various forms of modern jazz-tinged electronica mingle and share drinks, and a bloody good gig from my listenings so far. The fact that it covers so much ground makes it something of a marvel actually, and I think it'll have a lot of staying power as I spend more time with it.
