It's tough to say because they did have a few different styles. More synth-pop-ish stuff in the 80s (dark of course), getting heavier in the late 80s and early 00s, then really drugged-out, then a little more accessible.
I made a 16-track comp a while back for a thread called "Oi ..... Make Me A Compilation You Bastard", here is a
direct link to the post where you can download it. I liked that thread, but essentially it's just like the "Beginner's Guide to..." thread. Anyway I personally prefer checking out an album when I'm new to a band, rather than a comp. So if you feel the same way, let me know if you have a general idea of the style you might prefer, and I'll recommend one.
