parents turned n the radio when i was a baby; it was the only way to get me to sleep... apparently white noise works too but go figure. for a long time i didn't know what i wanted to do, even though i knew i was quite capable in the arts... i can act, draw, write, always had a good voice and fairly decent taste in music. i used to play video games and watch movies a fair bit as a kid, i realised the main contributing factor for me enjoying these things was the music in them.

so a couple of years ago a friend gave me his guitar to keep, i learnt with that for a bit before buying a new one and going to uni to study music. i deferred because i am terrible at following curriculum's. now i go out and play several times a week. it's enjoyable because song writing clears my head and is communal.

as for the reason of doing it; i feel most at home whilst playing music. it's pretty important to me.
