Lou Reed - "Lou Reed" ... vinyl ... I quite like this record, even if it is at least as much for the misses as the hits (not Top 10 hits and misses, but artistic successes and failures) ... the band of british session guys (including Wakeman and Howe) had NO feel for the material, but they brought their own thing to the sessions and Lou rolled with it. The results are not terrible, the tones are totally ok, the songwriting is good though the arrangements sometimes have suffered, and Lou displays possibly his first documented case of really not knowing at all when to shut up (it's all over the VU reunion, hadn't realized it went back so far though).
OOIOO ... whatever the new one is, waiting to listen til I'm in the right mood, very excited for this
HOWLING HEX "Rogue Moon" ... hasn't arrived in the mail yet but I'm looking forward to this hugely
