I'm not trying to take over the thread or anything, this is just an observation I've made from a few newer games. Is anyone else becoming tired of this cliched "grindhouse" style entrance video games have been using to introduce characters? The screen goes to this weird colour and tilts at an angle then you see the character's name with usually a small tidbit of information about them, usually in a humorous manner. I saw this in games like Wet and now in Borderlands. Not only that but I saw it in a movie I saw earlier this month called What a Wonderful World: WWW. It was kinda cool at first, but now it's just boring.
