The Antlers - Hospice

I was pretty surprised by this album and this band. I had never heard of them before I was sent the album and told that it contained some incredibly dark folk lyrics. Normally folk tends to bore me, however I like dark things so I decided to at least give it a try. While the music really didn't do a lot to thrill me, the dark song lyrics eventually won me over. I'm not sure if I'll go and look up the rest of their discography or not, but it was a pleasant surprise this year for something I'd normally never give the light of day.
