I think South Park's satirical nature gives it the edge in terms of intelligent writing, and I am not questionning that this season has provided a couple of hysterical episodes, but I think the routine of poking fun at a certain topic per episode is wearing thin. I acknowledge that Trey and Matt are self-aware and often include jokes at their own expense, but I sort of miss the South Park that relied upon nothing but imagination and crudeness to provide the laughter and not real-life events. It is especially disappointing to watch the satire become lazy, as was the case with episodes such as WTF.

Family Guy is extremely hit and miss but on a good episode it can be absolutely hilarious, whilst The Simpsons has attempted to modernise itself and strayed away from the subtle humour that once made it so endearing.

I still prefer South Park but all 3 shows have passed their prime in my opinion.
