Default Lyrics

If you want ridiculously emo lyrics, look to In Hopes of An Exit, who once said:
"For your birthday I gave you a blade to my wrists"
I just think that's the funniest line I have ever heard.
I also find the Thursday line from Cross Out the Eyes humourous.
"And the morning dove gets caught in the telephone wires"
Ahh, I love Thursday. They are amazing.
But anyways, more lyrics...ummm....

Leave me alone, you oughta be proud that I'm getting good marks.

Looking for the man that attacked me, while everybody was laughing at me.

I Tarzan, you Jane

Do potholes in the road make you wonder what went missing?

Too bad the whole world had their backs turned.

The red lights mean you're leaving, the white ones mean returning.
Your headlights look like diamonds, your tailights burn like coals.

Oh, can't anybody see? We've got a war to fight, we'll never find our way, regardless of what they say.

Feeling like my life's just passed, and I didn't even say hello. There's an aching in my chest, wind whistling through the hole.
My head feels so heavy, as I lay it on this pillow. I'm growing up too fast now, but my movements are so slow.

And the whole song, please read these and tell me what you think:

Drunk Driving

The light shines dim from the back of the bus,
my heart comes out on this page in the dark.
I take what you said out of context as the bus merges from the on-ramp.

Dry-throated hoarse calls on the PA,
"Just another few hours, we're not far away"
I need something to fill up this time.
Magnetic chess was left far behind.

Fascinated by static stereo,
I'm still in denial about being on my own.
Amongst these people I've become uneasy,
Lying, gutter-bed sleazies.

This stale dinner's like flowers to my nose.
The childs cry is like music perfectly composed.
The passengers are like angels to my eyes.
The shards of glass come as quite a surprise.

Red and black, as though the sky's just cracked.
My mind gets de-railed like a train from it's tracks.
Bent like the metal stabbing in my side,
Smashed like the remenants of my pride.

Bleeding out white lies on the ground,
Nothing is safe, nothing is sound.
Through the air comes a piercing scream,
Wake up right now, please say it's a dream!

This can't happen, please don't do this.
I was going to apologize, let me make it!
It's always so quiet, why is it so quiet?
So damn quiet, quiet!

What do you think?

And of course: Don't think twice, it's alright.
