...it didn't help that i was sleep deprived on viewing it, and charles bronson has(/had) a face like a horse's arse which is difficult to look at for long periods of time, tense or not!

re the Italian thing, another good western not shot (or set) in the wild west is 'the Proposition'. As stated there are actually tons of these that fit into neither the classical Hollywood nor spaghetti western categories, but my power of recollection is weak at this time
