As long as a game is good and worth the quite ridiculous amount of money I'll be shelling out for it I don't mind whether it's innovative or not. I have a problem with franchises simply repackaging games and lazily calling them a sequel, but that's not the case with NSMB as 4-player co-op adds a completely new dynamic to the gameplay.

Yeah, some of the levels are pretty crazy too.
I love the graphics too, it's nothing technically outstanding but it's exactly what a next gen Mario should look like.
Anyway, being a retro gamer and diehard 2D platformer fan, I'm the kinda person that actually looks forward to old franchises taking a step back.
