Not that I think he's the "next Freddie Mercury", but he actually does have 5 songwriting credits on his album. They are arguably some of the most well-written songs on the album. He said he would've written more, but he only had 2 months to put out the album, so time constraints made it difficult, but he says he'll be writing a lot on the 2nd album.

He said he wrote it from experience. It's about when you're in a relationship, and the person you're with is about to break down, and you're letting them know that it's okay, let it out, I'll pick up the pieces.
