I actually thought their latest album was pretty solid...but yes the days of the pure genius of Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves seems to be over. I will still see them live any day. Favorite album by them is A Farewell to Kings.

Rush is one of the few bands in which every member is a frickin virtuoso. Alex Lifeson isn't really recognized as much since Geddy and Neil are so amazing, but he is right up there in the uniqueness of his chord progressions. His stuff is actually quite challenging to play...and I still warm up on guitar by playing through the Trees to this day.
