Can't forget Nick Cave.

I need to discover some more good Australian bands. Partially because being born there and spending most of my life there means that a couple of my flatmates consider me amenable for anything negative about Australia... and on the topic of good Australian music, I don't know enough about it to adequately defend them in that arena.

Suggestions?
