We could just fast track all the obviously deserving bands such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan etc, etc. and save us the bother of having a nomination process for the heavyweights, so to speak, but as someone has already pointed out, this isn't a general all encompassing Hall of Fame. It's the 'MusicBanter Hall of Fame' and should reflect the choice of bands by the members here.

We could always copy and paste the standard HMV, Rolling Stone, or any other dull, predictable and largely inaccurate most popular band bollocks if you'd prefer...

This is all I meant by voting "No". Bands like the beatles are obviously going to get in automatically, and after a few months the "hall of fame" will be filled with your standard "rolling stone top 50 bands ever" baby boomer blowing trash. Yeah, The Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, etc should all be in. But after month 6 of the 30th landslide vote welcoming in another obvious 60's group that is in every single 'best of' list ever, everyone will tire of the process and the more underrated/unknown groups (at least more so than the Beatles) won't even had the effort put in to vote them in.
