As I've said before influence wont make or break any of my decisions but with that said The Smiths influence surely cannot be questioned. Johnny Marr is simply put one of the most under-rated guitarists who's work I personally have ever come into contact with, Morrissey is a top class lyricist and one of those writers whose lyrics I will sit and read from the inlay. Strong, intelligent, identifiable pop music that I can only hope will stand the test of the time to be appreciated by generations to come.
One big, fat yes.
