It went on for so long because Blur wanted to sell records & Steve Sutherland wanted to sell the NME. They instigated the whole thing. Oasis just saw it as one big laugh.
It's very telling now that when asked about that time Noel Gallagher laughs about it & Damon Albarn refuses to even discuss it.
And why would anyone be on Oasis's side?
How about because What's The Story Morning Glory was a far far superior album than that sh
itfest The Great Escape.
