American Gods by far. The protagonist, Shadow, is easily one of the most likable protagonists I've ever come across in a story. It's a longer book, but when you get started it's really hard to put down. Also if you have ANY interest in mythology then you'll most likely enjoy it and thanks to the God of War franchise, most teenage boys do have some interest in mythology.
