It's hard for me to dislike music with a passion(as many of you will joyously find out in this month's themed compilation  ). But Neutral Milk Hotel found a way to bypass my tolerance and get on my every last nerve. Monotonous, grating, pretentious, annoying, and dull, ITAOTS tops my worst album of all time list.

You just lack the perceptive qualities to appreciate the music. In my opinion they are one of the best bands of all time. I certainly think Jeff Magnum creates the best lyrics in the style of free floating mind conciseness more than anyone. His voice although technically imperfect provides more weight and substance than any thoroughbred school instructed vocalist I've ever heard.

LMAO! Wow that's some hilarious stuff.
I'm a fan of NMH (though I much prefer their first album over ITAOTS), but that's some serious BS there. They are far from being one of the best bands of all time. I mean it's fine for someone to think that, but not for them to say "You just lack the perceptive qualities to appreciate the music."
And even though I enjoy ITAOTS, it is severely overrated.
