I think im in the same boat as Rickenbacker when it comes to American Idiot. I thought it was alright when it came out and i was quite surprised by it. I had my little (it was little too) Greenday phase when i was a teenager but id stopped before American Idiot and still thought it was decent.
Cant say ive listened to it in a long time now though and may never do again but ill always say that it's not TOO bad. Not like Warning which was always shit.
Im very indifferent when it comes to Greenday now. I used to enjoy Dookie alot when i was in school and i saw them live but now im just indifferent. Don't dislike them but i'll let them get on with their own thing and just not pay attention to it if i dont want to.
Saying that their last album was horrific though.
