I won't go as far as to say it was one of the best albums of the 90s, that's for sure, but I enjoyed it a lot when it came out, as did many of my friends. I could give a rat's ass about the band now and since then, though.

and here's the voice of someone who was already well into his teens when Green Day first hit the mainstream - what the hell is this crap? it's like a polished version of Nevermind for my little sister and her friends.
it's not to say GD is a horrible band but their target market seems to be young teenagers who want to take their first steps away from Disney. considering the description of their Grammy performance i (sadly) don't think my facetious comment is actually that far from reality.
