I find that I can only take so much of Those Poor Bastards at any given time. Their newest album Satan Is Watching is the easiest on the ears, but not by a lot. If you liked the solo Lonesome Wyatt album then you should also check out A Bitter Harvest which he put out last year with Rachel Brooke. The differences in their voices create a really interesting contrast and it has some really somber songs that are perfect for creating a brooding atmosphere.
